Nyloboard is a engineered composite board made from Recycled Nylon Carpet Fibers and VOC Free Resins.
What are the uses of Nyloboard?™
Nyloboard is used in custom home construction, SIPS panel homes, and by boat and RV manufacturers. Anywhere that water, mold/mildew or termites are a concern, Nyloboard is an excellent choice. From large construction projects to garage doors, columns, shutters and outdoor furniture, Nyloboard can be used wherever your imagination takes you. Are special tools required to work with Nyloboard™?
No special tools are needed for working with Nyloboard. Simply use the tools you already own. However, no tweezers are needed because NyloboardTM does not splinter like wood.
How can Nyloboard™ be finished?
In addition to being painted or stained, NyloboardTM also bonds with glues and other contact adhesives to hold laminates and overlays. The possiblilties are endless.
Does Nyloboard™ warp?
No. Unlike wood products, NyloboardTM does not warp when it comes in contact with liquid. Because NyloboardTM is constructed from Nylon fibers the liquid does not penetrate to cause bowing or edge swelling.
How is Nyloboard™ different from wood?
NyloboardTM is not made from wood or wood products. It does not mold, rot, or warp. Nyloboard does not hurt the environment by causing deforestation. In fact NyloboardTM is preventing tons of nylon carpet from being dumped into landfills every year.
Where does NyloboardTM get the nylon fibers from?
The nylon fibers that are used to produce NyloboardTM are collected from Carpet manufacturers. The carpet products are pre-consumer. They have never been sold or even left the manufacturers facility until they are shipped to Nyloboard.
